About Me

Studio Renshaw specialises in hand guided machine embroidered artworks, to be worn, collected and most importantly bring you joy! Small batch collections are individually made in my San Francisco studio using a mixture of preloved and high quality materials, that are thoughtfully considered and always anti fast fashion.

Each item is carefully and lovingly made me Philippa an interdisciplinary Artist, Designer and Maker. Living in a neoliberal capitalist society, I mourn the loss of quality. In my making practise I illuminate the relevance of handcrafts and a human connection in a technological world through in-depth exploration of materials and techniques. 

I hold an MFA from San Francisco State University, USA, along with an MA in Design Futures and a BA in Textile Design both from Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK.
